spent some more time on pinterest and i did not come back empty handed. in fact, below is a collection of my favorite diy ideas for the garden - romantic lighting, planters galore, recycled options... and for the home, a little facelift to the old, bring the outdoors in...
there is no excuse not to diy up a storm these days. so many incredible ways to re use materials and make life grow all over the place. i am so inspired!

garden / home envy

oh hell yes! is what i shouted out (internally) when i saw these gorgeous photographs of architect pedro useche's home. i am so obsessed with the way he has seamlessly incorporated his landscape into his home, it's as if one could not be as beautiful without the other. the choices and placement of everything is so gorgeous and collected. i could imagine my self spending hours staring at every detail, taking it all in. i love when a home has the ability to be clean and fresh yet it hosts so much history and organic elements... and art! and plants! and books! and that vertical garden! the hammock! the windows! the pool! the view! oh hell yes!

put a plant in it

in my quest for all things plant friendly containers, i came across this most wonderful creation on one of my new favorite blogs, paperwhales. it is a moss bath mat! i know! talk about inventive! wonderful! sensual! plantastic! i was so impressed with this creative use of plants in the home.it was designed by industrial design / packaging / 3-D modeling genius La Chanh Nguyen. now where can i get my hands on one? and what would my cats think of it?

a coffee table for plants

i am currently in sprucing up my home mode. i am trying to be a bit more minimal and edit - which is tough considering i have a serious love for things! especially plants! i have so many plants in my home. in terrariums, in pots and of course odds and ends that i just decide need a head of plant hair. so when i came across this table on beach bungalow 8 i practically squealed with excitement! it has a little pocket for planty lands! how lovely! the space ain't have bad either. check out the full home tour here.

my dearest friend, miss megan of ginger slice sent this my way today. the email was titled a room for miss bee, and indeed it would be! if i had a loft with a giant wall you could bet your bottom dollar that i would have some serious plant lands on that bad boy. i also love how casually yet elegantly the room is put together below. edited and with character. nice.

i am beaming with pride this morning. my lovely and super talented friend wendy of dear hancock was featured on todays design*sponge sneak peeks! see it here!
her home is gorgeous! bright and airy and full of busy creative energy. i especially love her studio set up in her dining room. who says the dining room must always serve as an eating space! instead they whip up beautiful paintings!
also if you take a close look, a terri planty lives in her home...:) just sayin'!

i got super excited today when i found this image of one of my terri planty terrariums photographed (quite beautifully might i add) in one of my clients homes. its one thing to see them in my studio or lit up for a photoshoot, but when you see a terrarium in its home - that is the best! so thank you mr. allard. i super appreciate you showing off your home and the ladies in the planty lands!

arfound this image of allen ruppersberg's studio in hollywood, 1968 on stopping off place. i am kinda freaking out by how beautiful this image is. i just got back from my mojave desert day trip with my dad and hit the gold mine of cool rocks and wood roots. more on that later. but point being that i intend to spread the goods out like so and just admire them for what they are.
