more diy please

spent some more time on pinterest and i did not come back empty handed. in fact, below is a collection of my favorite diy ideas for the garden - romantic lighting, planters galore, recycled options... and for the home, a little facelift to the old, bring the outdoors in...
there is no excuse not to diy up a storm these days. so many incredible ways to re use materials and make life grow all over the place. i am so inspired!

i haven't done a put a plant in it post in waaay too long. well, i am back in action. i did a little online window shopping on etsy and found a huge collection vintage planters, flower pots and vessels that i just had to share. therefore this is officially a vintage edition of put a plant in it! i included all the links to these treasures just in case your heart fell for one these featured finds. i personally would love to buy them all up, but i am currently saving up for a saw! yup! i need some more power tools in my life so that i can create bigger and better diys to share with y'all.

in my quest for all things plant friendly containers, i came across this most wonderful creation on one of my new favorite blogs, paperwhales. it is a moss bath mat! i know! talk about inventive! wonderful! sensual! plantastic! i was so impressed with this creative use of plants in the home.it was designed by industrial design / packaging / 3-D modeling genius La Chanh Nguyen. now where can i get my hands on one? and what would my cats think of it?

i am really digging these vessels by shane powers over at west elm . the prices aren't bad either. i know i am supposed to sell you on my sweet designs, but by all means i suggest you stock up on some of these beauties and diy it up. they are so pretty.
